Please note that until recently, some areas were serviced by third party distributors. We now distribute nationwide directly from our Melbourne warehouse, which has led to significant improvements in price and availability in those areas. Mitas began life in the early 1930's as a subsidiary of Michelin, and firmly established itself as a major manufacturer of quality tyres in its own right soon after the second world war. For the better part of a century it has produced some of the world's finest tyres for companies such as Barum, Michelin and Continental in it's three enormous Czech plants. Today the Mitas branded product range is unparallelled, with tyres for a wide variety of applications - from bicycles, go-karts and scooters to aircraft to massive earth-moving and mining machinery. Many of the world's biggest industrial and agricultural equipment manufacturers specify Mitas tyres as original equipment for their machines. Mitas is also Europe's largest motorcycle tyre manufacturer, and is particularly famous for its superb off-road tyres for motocross, enduro, safari, junior cross, speedway and trials motorcycle applications. Using cutting-edge design, formulation and production processes, it produces literally millions of tyres each year, under the Mitas name as well as under contract for brands such as Continental and Michelin. Mitas motorcycle tyres are used around the world in competitive and recreational applications and sit squarely at the premium end of the off-road sports and adventure-rider markets.

Trelleborg is one of Europe's oldest and biggest names in off-road motorcycle competition tyres, and it is the tyre of choice for a number of gruelling races - particularly in the highly competitive Scandinavian market. In Australia the brand has a small but dedicated following of loyal fans. Since 2000, Trelleborg motorcycle tyres have been made under license by Mitas. As of early 2010, this branding arrangement has ceased and the tyres have become part of the wider Mitas range. Regardless of the name, the tyres remain the very best off-road sports tyres available.
